The 24th September, 2016 was marked as very special and memorable day for every fresher and even for all present at SVKM’s NMIMS Shirpur Campus, C-wing, Seminar hall. The fresher’s day was full of enjoyment, fun, excitement, happiness, laughter and many other events till the evening.
The event started at 3:00 pm with Sarasvati Pooja, lighting of lamp and NMIMS Anthem followed by welcome dance. The theme and dress code of fresher’s party was "BLACK AND WHITE ". The chief guest and other dignitaries were introduced and welcomed.
The program started with introduction of all the participants then talent round, in which the participants had performed their talents like singing, dancing, shayari, poem (written by own), speech, etc. [13 participant were evaluated & selected for the title of Mr & Ms Fresher 2016]
The fresher’s program was organised by 2nd year students (D. Pharm). They also performed group dance and did singing. After that small task was given for the entertainment of all the freshers.
A quiz round was also conducted. The quiz round was based on general knowledge, sports, current affairs and Bollywood related questions. At the end games were also conducted.
All the participants were eagerly waiting to know the final result, the judgment was based on the introduction & talent performed by participants along with the points scored in quiz and game rounds.
The results were announced and the title for Mr. fresher 2016 & Mrs. fresher 2016 given to Mr. Nihal Jaiswal & Ms. Mayuri Shinde respectively.
The program concluded with the vote of thanks to Dr R S Gaud Director Shirpur campus, Mr Rahul Dande, Chief Accountant & Administrator, Dr Ashwini Deshpande Associate Dean, Dr Sateesh Belemkar, Chairperson, HOD’s, Faculty & Staff of SPTM.
