SHAPING THE FUTURE: INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY CONCLUDED AT NMIMS SHIRPUR

SVKM’s NMIMS Shirpur successfully hosted the International Conference on Digital Technology – Vision 2030: Transforming Education, Healthcare and Industry (ICDTV-2030) on February 17 & 18, 2024. With its diverse range of topics and esteemed speakers, ICDTV-2030 conference at NMIMS Shirpur proved to be a significant milestone in advancing discussions on digital transformation and its implications for education, healthcare, and industry.

Dr. Ram Gaud, Director, NMIMS Shirpur, delivered a Welcome Address in the Inaugural Program. Dr. Venkatadri Marriboyina, the organizing secretary introduced the conference with a preamble, providing context and setting expectations for the discussions ahead. The unveiling of the souvenir marked the commencement of the event’s official proceedings. Dr. Sharad Mhaiskar, Pro Vice Chancellor of NMIMS, emphasized promoting collaboration, informal networking, empowering rural youth, fostering innovation and excellence in digital technology. Dr. Jayant Gandhi, Joint Secretary of SVKM, highlighted the importance of collaboration and vision for 2030 in driving technological advancements. Mr. Mukesh Jain, CTO and VP at Capgemini and the Chief Guest, delivered the address, sharing valuable insights and perspectives on current and future business landscapes, as well as the conference theme. Dr. Meena Chintamaneni, Pro Vice Chancellor, NMIMS, also graced the occasion and shared insights about the conference all the participants and organizers.

During the inaugural day of the conference, Mr. Edsel Alexander Pereira, Executive Vice President at Glenmark, Mumbai delivered the keynote address. The plenary sessions were enriched by the insights shared by distinguished speakers including Mr. Anil Omanwar from IBM Expert Labs in Australia, Dr. K. Jaishankar, Director and Professor of Criminology at the International Institute of Justice and Police Sciences in Bengaluru, Dr. Shitala Prasad from IIT Goa, and Dr. Sudhamsh Reddy, Principal Data Scientist at Qlik in Waltham, United States. Their contributions added depth and expertise to the discourse, enriching the conference experience for all attendees. On the second day of the conference, esteemed speakers graced the stage with their expertise. Dr. P. G. Shrotriya, a renowned Pharma Consultant, Dr. Siddharth Srinivasan, CEO of Lupin Digital Health, Mr. Debjit Ghatak, IIM Ahmedabad, and Mr. Rishabh Chopra, Shell in the Netherlands, delivered enlightening plenary lectures. Their varied viewpoints and profound insights enriched the conference, sparking dynamic discussions and broadening the perspectives of all participants.

The Valedictory Program, held on the final day, marked the successful conclusion of the conference. Mrs. Rita Patel, In charge of NMIMS Shirpus campus as a Chief Guest, graced the occasion with her presence. Dr. Venkatadri Marriboyina, the Organizing Secretary presented the conference report, summarizing the key highlights and outcomes of the two-day event. Awards were then presented to the winners of the poster and oral presentations, recognizing their outstanding contributions and achievements. Dr. Meena Chintamaneni, Pro Vice Chancellor, NMIMS addressed the audience, emphasizing the significance of the conference and its impact on the field of digital technology. She also emphasized that the SVKM is renowned for its progressive educational approach. Participants were invited to share their feedback. Attendees reflected on the enriching discussions and fruitful exchanges that took place over the two-day conference. The Valedictory Program highlighted the key takeaways and achievements of the conference, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and innovation in shaping the future of digital technology. The international conference concluded with over 200 engaging oral and poster presentations from participants across India. These presentations showcased a diverse array of research and insights from the attendees. The conference hosted over 300 participants from diverse locations. It showcased innovations across various fields, including Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Smart Agriculture, Healthcare Management, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Transformation in Textiles and Wearables, Future-Proofing, and Industry 5.0.
