Annual cultural fest - "Protsahan 2016” was organized on March 03, 2016.
The event was divided in two schedules in order to give maximum possible exposure to students’ extracurricular talent. In the morning session 09.30am to 01.45pm, screening of students’ performances was done and final presentation was arranged during 05.30pm to 10.00pm along with a ramp-walk and DJ night.
For the event all faculty and staff along with students of SPTM were present.

Annual cultural fest Protsahan is organized every year to give a chance to students to explore their extracurricular talent. This year the fest was organized on March 03, 2016, with the zeal and enthusiasm crossing the limits of horizon. In coordination with the MPSTME, a budget of Rs. 13,80,00/- was proposed out of which budget amount exclusively for SPTM was about 1,27,000/- except common stage, light and sound system.
The excitement of students to express their extracurricular talent made the event to be distributed in two sessions – the morning and the evening session.
Morning session, held in the auditorium of the campus, started at 09.30am with welcome, cake cutting, and unveiling of Protsahan logo. The session was filled with a drama, about 20 solo and duet singing performances, and about 10 solo and duet dances. The juniors gave warm pass down the memory lane to the third year students in the program, called down the memory lanes. Dr. R. S. Gaud; Director MPTP, Dr. Ashwini Deshpande; Associate Dean; SPTM, Dr. Aquil Bunglowala; Associate Dean MPSTME, were the dignitaries present for this program along with faculty and staff of SPTM.
Evening session, even though planned to start at 05.30pm, started late, i.e. at around 6.45pm. Selected performances from the morning session were presented along with fashion show and a DJ night. The program began with Ganesh Vandana, followed by welcome of the guests. Hon. Shri Rajgopalji Bhandari; Mentor; NMIMS Shirpur campus, local management committee members, Mr. Prasanna Jain, Mr. Yashwant Baviskar, principals of various institutes in Shirpur along with renowned personalities from Shirpur were present as guests for this program along with Dr. R. S. Gaud, Dr. A. S. Deshpande, Dr. Aquil Bunglowala, and faculty, staff of SPTM as well as MPSTME.
Prize distribution ceremony was organized to felicitate talents among students. Prizes were given to winners and runners through the hands of dignitaries present. The program was concluded with the vote of thanks.
Students enjoyed the DJ, operated by one of the students Mr. Umar Mastan from 09.30 to 10.00pm. The program was followed by delicious dinner at the boys’ mess.
Students’ committee members, under the directives of Dr. Amit Page, worked hard to bring this event a success. Dedicated help and support by central office particularly Mr. Rahul Dande, Mr. Kunal Maheshwari and their staff was notable.
