A Research Talk on A Holistic Strategic Framework for an Institute of Excellence was delivered by Dr. P. K Chande, Former Director, MANIT, Bhopal and Professor, IIM Indore on 19th November, 2015 at 3.00 pm, Seminar Hall, 2nd floor, C wing of NMIMS, Shirpur Campus.
The program started with a brief introduction and felicitation of the guest speaker. While speaking on the holistic approach, Dr.P.K.Chande, emphasized on the quality research. He presented the five important pillars of University in the five force model and highlighted the importance of focused approach and specialization in teaching learning process. He said the quality can be attended only when the faculty and students create mutually challenged atmosphere. He also stressed on the need of frequent interaction between learning organization with industry in the form of Institute-Industry interaction and Industrial visits. He motivated to write quality proposals to funding agencies to raise the University in research and development. The teaching pedagogy and the inspiring ways of classroom teaching were discussed. The post session queries were answered efficiently. The talk ended with the vote of thanks.
