SPTM organized two workshops under "Awareness Programme for Women” for lady staff of girl’s hostel to create awareness on functions of mobile phones for day-to-day usage on 23rd September and 12th October 2017. The first session was planned to understand the problems faced by the participants in operating the mobile. The issues like unable to read and type the message, not able to save a number, how to check balance, how to make a call, were identified with the participants.
In the second session, all the participants were taught the various operations of a mobile and different mobile functions. They were taught operating mobile key pad, understanding various options available in English and vernacular languages, how to save mobile and STD numbers, how to search saved numbers in contact list, how to make a call, how to check mobile balance. Around 25 ladies actively participated and benefitted from the workshops.
The workshop was successfully conducted by Dr. Payal Dande, Dr. Preeti Sangave & Dr. Smita Bonde under the guidance of Dr. Ashwini Deshpande and Dr. R.S. Gaud.
