Areas Of Specialization
Neuroscience with a focus on behavioral neuroscience and neuropsychopharmacology, examining how neurotransmission underlies anxiety, depression, psychoses, nociception, and drug abuse. This specialization explores how dysregulated neural circuits and neurotransmitters involved in mood, cognition, pain processing, and reward contribute to maladaptive behaviors and neuropsychiatric disorders
- Experience (May be divided into industrial/academic/research experience): Served as Assistant Professor for 8 months at Siddhi Vinayaka Institute of Technology & Science (UID: 09759). And 4.5 year academic/research experience during Ph.D form Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya and teaching undergraduate courses in the sciences and facilitating classroom discussions. Provided academic mentorship to students, supervised laboratory sessions, and assisted in developing curriculum and assessment materials.
Areas Of Specialization
- Behavioral neuroscience andneuropsychopharmacology focused on brain mechanisms of behavior and emotion.
- Study of neurotransmission and neural circuits that regulate mood, cognition, motivation, reward, and pain processing.
- Focus on anxiety and depression, including how altered monoaminergic and inhibitory systems contribute to these disorders.
- Investigation of psychoses, emphasizing neurobiological changes in perception, thinking, and reality testing.
- Work on nociception and pain-related behavior, linking sensory processing with affective and motivational states.
- Interest in drug abuse and addiction, examining how psychoactive substances hijack neurotransmitter systems and reward pathways
Areas Of Specialization
- First rank holder and gold medalist in M.Pharm (Pharmacology), SLT Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (Central University), Bilaspur.
- DST INSPIRE Fellowship, awarded by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, recognizing high academic merit and research aptitude among top-ranking science students
