NMIMS Shirpur Hosts ‘EDULEADER’S SYMPOSIUM 2026

Shirpur, January 10, 2026 – SVKM’s NMIMS Mukesh Patel Technology Park (MPTP) successfully hosted the EDULEADER’S SYMPOSIUM 2026, a landmark academic initiative designed to redefine the future of educational leadership. The event brought together a distinguished assembly of academicians, policymakers, and administrators from CBSE and State Board Junior Colleges and Diploma institutions across North Maharashtra.

Empowering Leadership through Innovation

The symposium served as a dynamic forum for discussing the evolving educational landscape, with a specific focus on NEP 2020 and the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in schools and higher education.

Dr. Sunita Patil, Campus Director, welcomed the delegates, emphasizing the urgent need for adaptive leadership in an era of rapid technological disruption. The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. Vinod Mohitkar, Director of Technical Education, Govt. of Maharashtra, who highlighted the role of visionary governance in building future-ready institutions. Dr. Sanjay Toshniwal, Executive Council Member of the Pharmacy Council of India, further elaborated on technology's role in enhancing learning outcomes as the Guest of Honour.

Key Highlights & Technical Insights

• The AI Revolution: A centerpiece of the event was the technical session on the "Usage of AI Tools for Education," led by Dr. Praveen Loharkar. The session provided practical strategies for using AI in teaching, assessment, and personalized student learning.
• Institutional Exposure: Participants toured the campus’s state-of-the-art facilities, including advanced laboratories dedicated to Drone Technology, 3D Printing, and Robotics, showcasing NMIMS's commitment to vocational excellence.
• Panel Discussion on Wellness & Career 2030: A multi-disciplinary panel featuring Dr. Shyam Pancholi, Dr. Venkatadri Mariboyna, and Ms. Kiran Kalyani discussed student well-being, counseling, and the emerging job markets of 2030, such as AI-driven healthcare and sustainable tech.

Fostering Collaboration

A major outcome of the symposium was the invitation for regional schools and colleges to enter into Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with NMIMS Shirpur. These collaborations aim to provide younger students access to high-end infrastructure, project mentorship, and skill development programs like summer schools on IoT and AI.

Under the guidance of Hon’ble Shri Bhupeshbhai Patel (Joint President and Trustee, SVKM) and the leadership of the Associate Deans and event coordinators, the symposium concluded with a renewed sense of collective purpose.
