Speaker: Dr. Ashok Kadlag, Principal Scientist, Vasantdada Sugar Institute, Pune

Dr. Kadlag addressed issues like climate change, water scarcity, and pest infestations affecting sugarcane farming. He highlighted the role of AI in improving crop yield and quality, and the importance of ethanol production as a renewable biofuel.

2. Sustainable Development of Protective Textiles using Functional Dyes and Auxiliaries

Speaker: Dr. Javed Shaikh, Professor, IIT Delhi

Dr. Shaikh discussed the development of eco-friendly protective textiles incorporating natural and semi-synthetic dyes, offering properties like mosquito repellence and antibacterial effects, while addressing environmental compliance challenges.
